SUT-Ph.D. Scholarship for ASEAN year 2016

Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) is delighted to announce the second round of its SUT-PhD. 
Scholarship for ASEAN (Phase II – years 2015-2017) for the year 2016. 
The scholarship program was established in 2011 to mark the creation of the ASEAN Economic Community as well as His Majesty the King’s 84th birthday. 
This scholarship aims to attract outstanding students from the ASEAN member countries to pursue PhD. studies at Suranaree University of Technology, one of the leading National Research Universities of Thailand. 
It grants a total amount of 960,000 Baht (approx. 30,000 USD ) over a period of three years and of 1,200,000 Baht (approx. 37,500 USD) over a period of five years to a candidate holding a master’s or a bachelor’s degree, respectively. Nine scholarships will be awarded to PhD. students commencing their studies in the 2016 academic year (starting July 2016). The deadline for submission of applications is on March 31st, 2016.
You may be interested to learn that there are currently 28 students from ASEAN member countries studying under this program, two each from the Philippines and Laos, three from Cambodia, four from Myanmar, seven from Indonesia and ten from Vietnam. A further two scholarship recipients, one from Indonesia and one from Vietnam, have already completed their degree programs and returned home. Thus, I would like to encourage every interested and well qualified prospective student from your institution to apply this year.

[SmartLink Scholarship - Erasmus Mundus Action 2] 2nd Cohort Call for Application deadline is EXTENDED!

SmartLink (South-east-west Mobility for Advanced Research, Learning, Innovation, Network and Knowledge), a project funded under Erasmus Mundus Action 2 (EMA2) call for application (2nd cohort) is EXTENDED.

For your information, the consortium has 20 partners and 5 associates covering large geographical regions of EU and South Asia. The project has representations from 8 European countries (UK, Germany, France, Poland, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece and Portugal) and 11 Asian countries (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Nepal, North Korea, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Thailand).
SmartLink focuses on fostering international cooperation between European Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and HEIs in emerging Asian countries through the promotion of mobility at all level of studies for Undergraduate students, Masters students, PhD candidates, Post-doctoral researchers, academics and administrative staff.

The scholarship covers:
·         Air ticket (two ways)
·         All tuition fee
·         Medical insurance
·         Living allowance
